The Autonomous Region of Asturias

Asturias is an Autonomous Region of Spain, also known as the Principality of Asturias. It covers an area of 10.600 sq.km. Here lives 1.1 million which is approx. 2.4% of the total Spanish population. The Capital is Oviedo with about 220.000 inhabitants. The region concists of only one province; Asturias itself.
